In September 2024 i made a trip to Åbo in cooperation with Visit Turku and Tallink Silja Line with focus on culinary experiences.

After visiting the great food hall, there is a classic brewery situated in an old school just nearby. The food hall has a great variety of food and restaurants, from dried meat to award winning restaurants. The focus is fish so you should absolutely try some of the fish dishes served at the restaurant Herkkuunuotta.

When it comes to roof top bars, the choice is between two places, both nearby each other and in central Turku. KBC is a modern craft brewery and making all sorts of beers but has also a very popular restaurant and beer. Gin and Tonic and other drinks are best served at the out door terrace if you happen to not be the beer type.

Overall a lovely day with great food and drinks. I strongly recommend the ferry trip with Tallink Silja Line with the day in Åbo.
